Principal’s Message

Hello, ESE families!

My name is Dr. Miriam Dalton, and it is my great joy to welcome you to Eastbrook South Elementary. As I begin my 28th year in education and my 14th year here at South, I remain deeply grateful for the privilege of serving this community alongside our dedicated teachers, staff, parents, and partners.

The Vision of ESE We want every student to feel safe, cared for, and valued. Students care more about what we know when they know how much we care about them. We are committed to helping each child discover their strengths and use those strengths to grow as much as possible during their time with us at ESE.

Together with families and our wonderful team, we strive to meet the needs of every child. We believe each student has unique strengths and interests that can be developed so they reach their full potential. From mentoring and robotics to community involvement and everyday classroom moments, our staff goes above and beyond to help students know they are valued and capable of great things.

As I reflect on the years I’ve spent here, one truth continues to guide us: growth takes time. Seeds do not sprout the moment they are planted. Each year we have the privilege of watching our students grow—embracing the process, celebrating the blossoms, and walking the journey one day at a time, together.

May this be a year where we are intentional about being present with the people in our path each day. Let’s enjoy the moments, support one another, and make this the best year yet for every child at Eastbrook South.
